Build a gas spring, see it, buy it
Gas Spring World sells engineered gas springs, dampers and fittings. Picking the right combination of spring and end fittings used to mean reading spec sheets and emailing for a quote. The configurator turns that into a few clicks on the store.
What it does
- Choose units and material, metric or imperial, steel or other materials
- Pick each part: the end fitting on each side, such as a ball joint, and the gas spring itself, with part numbers, price, length and diameter shown for every option
- Add brackets for each end if needed
- Live diagram that redraws the assembly with its real dimensions, including the body and rod diameters, the stroke and the total length
- Choose the force and quantity and see the price update straight away
- Add to cart, print or email the configuration
How it is built
The configurator lives inside the WordPress and WooCommerce store, built with Elementor, so a finished configuration goes straight into the normal cart and checkout. Part data, prices and dimensions drive both the drop downs and the diagram, so the drawing always matches what the customer will receive.
Why it matters
Showing the exact assembly and price before checkout cuts down on wrong orders and back and forth emails. See the companion hatch calculator that helps customers work out which spring they need in the first place.
