Mobile apps built properly from the first screen
Karakoram Labs is a mobile app development company in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. We build cross platform apps for Android and iOS in Flutter and React Native, so you get one clean codebase for both stores that is fast to change and easy to maintain.
We have shipped our own apps through the full Google Play pipeline, including Spendly, Data Usage Monitor and DataLab. The same process goes into every client app.
What we build
- Business and utility apps such as booking, ordering, field data collection and internal tools
- Consumer apps with accounts, payments, notifications and offline storage
- Marketplace apps that share one backend with a website, like Lettzio for Android
- Simple games and lifestyle apps with ads or in app purchases
Flutter or React Native?
Both build real native apps for Android and iOS from a single codebase. We pick the one that fits your project:
- Flutter gives smooth, pixel perfect interfaces and excellent performance. It is our first choice for apps with custom design, animations or heavy offline use, with Drift or Hive for local storage and Kotlin platform channels for device features.
- React Native is a strong fit when your team already works in JavaScript or TypeScript, when you want to share code with a React or Next.js website, or when you plan to use Expo for fast over the air updates.
Either way the app connects to the same kind of backend, such as Supabase, FastAPI or Firebase.
How a mobile app project runs
- Scope call. We agree on the first release: the screens, the data and what success looks like.
- Design. Flows and screens in Figma so you can see the app before code is written. See UI and UX design.
- Build in stages. You get a test build on your phone every week or two, not a surprise at the end.
- Publish. We handle signing, testing and store listings on Google Play and the Apple App Store. See Play Store publishing.
- Support. SDK updates, store policy changes and new features after launch.

Mobile Apps: common questions
How much does mobile app development cost in Pakistan?
It depends on the number of screens, accounts, payments and backend work. A focused app costs much less than a marketplace. After a short call we send a fixed quote split into stages, so you know the price of each step before it starts.
How long does it take to build a mobile app?
A simple app usually takes four to six weeks. An app with accounts, a backend and an admin panel usually takes two to three months for the first release.
Should I choose Flutter or React Native?
Both build native Android and iOS apps from one codebase. Flutter suits apps with custom design, animation and offline use. React Native suits teams that already use JavaScript or want to share code with a React website. We recommend one after the first call.
Can you build one app for both Android and iOS?
Yes. With Flutter or React Native one codebase runs on both platforms, which saves time and cost compared with two separate native apps.
Will you publish the app on Google Play and the App Store?
Yes. We set up signing, run testing, complete the store forms and prepare the listings, then release the app to production on both stores.
Do I own the source code?
Yes. The code, the store accounts and all assets belong to you. We hand over everything at the end of the project.
